Daniel and Paul moved are both American born and moved to Ireland when they found Ardea Garden in need of stewardship.

Daniel is originally from Ohio and was raised on a sheep farm. When he is not directing opera and theatre in Europe, he is planting, pruning and weeding.

Paul originally from Rhode Island , is a retired art teacher who specialised in creating visual art with students with special needs. He also was a shepherd and worked in urban community gardening with refugees.
