The pub is private for the booking — our private bar area is all yours. While it’s not staffed, it comes with taps, glassware, fridges, and ice buckets. You can even pre-order kegs or drinks through our local partner, and we’ll have them ready for you on arrival. Find full details here

We do have 2 ground-floor bedrooms and a bathroom, although our house is not fully wheelchair accessible due to the age and design of the building. There are steps up to the doorways, which may make it unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Our base booking includes 11 bedrooms and sleeps up to 26 people comfortably.

For direct bookings the outstanding balance is due 7 days before arrival.

Yes — we require a €500 refundable deposit 3 days before arrival. It’s fully refunded once everything’s left in good order.

Sorry — no pets. We love animals, but we’ve chosen to keep The Lake House pet-free for comfort and allergy reasons.

Yes we’re delighted to provide free gas for your BBQ. All we ask in return is that you. Leave the BBQ as you found it – clean and ready for the next guest. If the BBQ is left uncleaned, a €50 cleaning fee will apply.

Yes Kenmare town is just 15 minutes drive from us and has everything from Bakers, Butchers, Health Food Shops and Supermarkets. You can find more information about pubs and restaurants here.

In terms of coffee we have a few different varieties, including instant coffee and Nespresso pods. People tend to bring their own for taste preferences. We also provide sugar.

Yes indeed. We also have an ironing board and iron for you to use.

Yes we have salt, pepper and limited amounts of cooking oil. We stock these items intermittently but advise our guests to bring their own as we cannot guarantee they won’t be used between stays.

Yes, we are self-catering and have a fully equipped kitchen. You can find external options here

We have high-speed broadband throughout the house. Eir generally works best for 5G, while 3 can be a little weak.

We have two smart TVs that will handle Spotify and YouTube. Our karaoke machine also works off either TV.

There are plenty of Guinness, wine, beer, whiskey, and cocktail glasses in the bar.

You will need to bring your own ice. We recommend getting it in Kenmare town on your way to the property.

We have a remote-controlled thermostat that automatically heats the house and water. You can manually boost radiators and water from the kitchen using the labelled thermostats.

There are stocked stoves in both the bar and living room.

No smoking indoors, no pets, and please report any damages or issues immediately. Please respect our neighbour's property; the pier across the road is private. There is a local beach and access to Kenmare Bay at Coornagillagh Pier. All windows and doors should be locked when leaving the property.
