❓How many people can The Lake House Kerry sleep?

Our base booking includes 7 bedrooms and sleeps up to 16 people comfortably. You can also add 4 extra bedrooms above our bar area (we call it the Bar Side) — bringing the total capacity to 26 guests.

❓Do I have to book the whole house?

Yes — The Lake House Kerry is available for exclusive group rental only. Whether you’re a group of 8 or 16, or 26 you’ll always have the full main house to yourself.

❓What’s included in the standard booking?

Your base booking includes:

  • 7 Bedrooms sleeping up to 16

  • 3 Bathrooms (2 ensuites + 3 shared)

  • Use of our self-serve bar, kitchen, dining room, living room, and outdoor areas

❓What is the ‘Bar Side’ and how do I add it on?

The Bar Side refers to the 4 newly renovated bedrooms and 2 bathrooms located just above our private bar area. These rooms are ideal for larger groups (17–26 people) and are available at a prorated additional cost.

To add it on, just let us know your group size when you enquire or book — we’ll handle the rest.

❓Can we choose how many extra rooms we add?

Yes! You don’t have to book all 4 additional rooms. We can tailor the layout and price based on how many extra guests you’re bringing.

❓Is the bar included?

Yes — our private bar area is all yours. While it’s not staffed, it comes with taps, glassware, fridges, and ice buckets. You can even pre-order kegs or drinks through our local partner, and we’ll have them ready for you on arrival.

❓Are towels and linen provided?

Yes. All beds are made up before you arrive, and we provide one bath towel per guest. Extras are available upon request.

❓Are pets allowed?

Sorry — no pets. We love animals, but we’ve chosen to keep The Lake House pet-free for comfort and allergy reasons.

❓Can we have a party or event?

Absolutely — we’re the perfect spot for birthdays, reunions, and special celebrations. Just let us know in advance so we can help you plan everything safely and smoothly.

❓What time is check-in and check-out?

  • Check-in: 4:00 PM

  • Check-out: 11:00 AM

❓Is there a security deposit?

Yes — we require a €500 refundable deposit 3 days before arrival. It’s fully refunded once everything’s left in good order.

❓Are there any shops and Restaurants Nearby?

Yes Kenmare town is just 15 minutes drive from us and has everything from Bakers, Butchers, Health Food Shops and Supermarkets. You can find more information about pubs and restaurants here.
